Black Girls Behind Music (BGBM) is a community-driven organization dedicated to supporting, elevating, and creating opportunities for Black women working across the music industry—from marketing and A&R to touring, publishing, production, and beyond.

BGBM was created to address the lack of visibility, access, and support for Black women working behind the scenes in music. Our goal is to build a stronger, more connected pipeline of talent and ensure their contributions are recognized and valued.

No—BGBM supports both those currently in the industry and those looking to break in. Our programs are designed to meet participants at different stages of their career journey.

BGBM offers a range of programs including the Mentorship Program, BGBM University, and the Give Her Credit campaign, all designed to provide career development, visibility, and community support.
